Catalina Island lies off the coast of Southern California. It is very mountainous and bison imported for a movie still roam its hinterlands. It obviously has an airport, located on a mountaintop 1,602 feet above sea level.
The main population center on Catalina Island is the city of Avalon.

Avalon is known for its quaint harbor and impressive casino.
