Oakdale is very small and compact and we weren't expecting a lot seeing as it is situated in a remote area of the county. However, we were quite surprised. It really felt like small-town, rural America - even though it is probably 15 miles from Pittsburgh and 10 miles from the airport.
Well done Oakdale, well done!
We took a startlingly large amount of pictures in Oakdale because we liked it so much we got out and walked around. Below is the community center.
This is the town's honor roll, which we were originally going to take a photo of, before realizing that so many other fine sights were there to be seen.
And this is a photo of the bend in the road where I parked, which lies between a Masonic lodge and the town park.
