Richland Township

The last line on the Post-Gazette's Municipal writeup on Richland Township, which usually indicates the most recent significant development, states "William Waddle owned Waddle's Tavern, which became the focus of life in the community."*

I don't know what to say…but there is a historical reference that seems appropriate

"Give to Caesar what is Caesar's. Give to Richland what is Richland's".

The name Richland does not come from the name of an early settler, but in fact simply denotes the richness of the land here. Here is the nondescript municipal building.
