Aside from driving through a town park, this is probably one of the most precarious positions I've been in on the borough quest, unless you count going to Duquesne, Rankin, and Braddock as precarious. Standing on a metal guard rail on the berm of the highway, I, along with Rotary International, present to you the birthplace of the H. J. Heinz Company. If CSI ever filmed an episode in Sharpsburg, that joker who delivers the one-liner before the opening credits might say something like, "It looks like the tomatoes… have financed their payroll."

By the way, if you were wondering, the Rotary Club meets on Thursdays at noon.
